The Chianti DOCG is made with Sangiovese grapes and an occasional addition of Canaiolo (limited to 10%). The wine gives a lively ruby red color in the glass. With aging, the wine would evolve to a garnet hue. The aroma is fine and persistent with hints of wild berries and spiciness with aging.

- It matches well with most dishes of Italian cooking, from antipasti to cheese, with first courses, main dishes and meat.
